This oil-on-canvas piece was inspired by the mythical creature Medusa!
I recently read the book “Medusa” by Jessie Burton and felt inspired by her story. At first this concept was only a sketch in my sketchbook, but after I finished the sketch I fell in love with it and knew I had to turn into a painting.

About this product
Prints on paper
All my prints are made at Ruijgrok Piëzografie in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
The paper prints are made on 300 grams/m² paper, that is coated with a Hahnemühle (White Velvet) matte coating.
They come with a white border around the piece, giving the effect of a passe-partout.
The width of this border is decided based on the size of the print.

My paper prints are made with a 12-colour printer, printing at 600 DPI. Showing true likeness to the original in both colour and detail.
Paper prints are a good option if you are looking for a more affordable and laid-back piece that is easy to frame and in most ways true to the original painting.

About this product
Prints on canvas
These prints are made on bendable canvas, after which they are attached to a wooden frame. Adding both texture and dimension to the print.
After the scan is made, the outer edge of the piece is copied, mirrored and used to make up the sides.

The set structure of the print provides me with the opportunity to touch-up the print a new paint.
My canvas prints are most like the original piece in both form and texture. This is why they are the more expensive option.
(Before buying a canvas print, please carefully read the provided description next to the listed piece!)
